What is HRLC?

Founded in 1956

HRLC Architects, LLC has designed many facilities over the last 60 years with an emphasis on the local community.


Our office has a great working relationship with many of the local and state inspectors, contractors, community and business leaders.

They know from experience that our designs will be code compliant, cost effective, fit within the community and improve the overall neighborhood.

Our management approach to your project will be the same as it is on all of our projects: Quality of workmanship meshed with integrity of practice no matter the size or scope of the project.


Our office is small enough to provide personal attention to every project yet large enough to maintain a diversified portfolio.

All of our team members will be involved in your project in some aspect. Throughout the schematic, design development, final documentation and construction phases, each team member will have individual responsibilities. Our office environment allows for the free-flow of information between team members and is enhanced by our architectural REVIT software allowing each team member access to the project at the same time. Communication is of the upmost importance during all phases of construction.


Our office is staffed a full 8-10 hours per day and we strive to be available at any point in time.

We also rely on human interaction as opposed to a voice mail system.

Cost sensitive, durable design is a hallmark of our firm. Because we deal with so many publicly funded projects, we are accustomed to making showcase spaces with very limited resources.

Our product selections provide the best in form and function while maintaining the budget.

Our cost per square foot is generally lower than the state or national average and yet we receive awards for our designs.

HRLC takes pride in the fact that we work closely with all of our clients to quickly resolve issues. We strive to be a partner in the entire process, not an obstacle.

Although we carry Professional Liability Insurance, we have had no legal actions against our firm in over 40 years.

Our attention to details, working closely with our clients and our extensive experience in all types of projects and construction methods have been proven effective in avoiding legal disputes.

Chris is responsible for total design project management within a medium sized Architectural firm. This responsibility includes attending client design meetings, program development, cost analysis, direct involvement in the design process from the schematic design phase to the preparation of construction documents as well as the administration of projects under construction. This involves reviewing cost change order proposals, site visits and work in progress documentation. Project types included commercial buildings, office buildings, educational facilities, sport facilities, religious facilities and residential projects. Responsible for schematic design of various projects, prepare and publish client presentations including 3D computer renderings and scaled models.
